Though he may be best known as the host of lamentable '90s MTV dating show Singled Out, comedian and host Chris Hardwick has been on the stand-up scene for nearly 15 years. In 2010, he became one of a small number of comics to reinvent himself as the host of The Nerdist, a very successful comedy podcast. It has become so successful, in fact, that Hardwick is now basically the CEO of Nerdist Industries. Inspired by alternative comics like Dana Gould and Patton Oswalt, Hardwick's comedy is silly and cerebral. He has spent his entire life as a student of stand-up and a true comedy geek, and his enthusiasm comes across in everything he does.
Drawing from his experiences as a preschool teacher and a pretty good guy, Josh Gondelman charms audiences with his good-natured storytelling and cracks them up with his sharp, pointy wit. Josh's comedy touches on topics from rainbows to gangsta rap and makes them all equally hilarious thanks to his terrific writing and performing.
In 2010, Josh traveled to Atlanta for the inaugural Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, where he turned heads and captured first prize!
A portion of that performance was aired on the G4 cable network, much to the thrill of the networks viewers and Josh's grandmothers. Since then Josh has become an in-demand performer on a national scale at clubs and colleges. In early 2010, he was also the only featured male standup performer at the Women in Comedy Festival in Cambridge, MA. In the past, he has competed in the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition, been named among the Best of the Fest at the Boston Comedy Festival, and won the Chosen One Comedy Contest run by Heeb Magazine.
Josh also performs improv as a member of the Family Show cast at Improv Boston, and he writes and performs sketch comedy with his troupe The Good News Bears. He has appeared on the popular web series “Quiet Desperation” and “ROFL.” This summer, he will travel to the Rooftop Comedy Festival in Aspen, CO and the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival in Asheville, NC, where he will be featured as a headliner. He is pleased to meet you!
Winner of Madison's Funniest Comic 2011! The curious wit of Mike Schmidt has been sending audiences home happy since 2004. Prior to that, it was simply getting Mike sent home from schools and universities. Never preachy and never predictable, Mike is the perfect choice to entertain a comedy audience or to help hide a body.
