FAQ’S

Can I make a reservation or buy tickets in advance?
Unfortunately, no. Tickets for these show are only available at the door.

What time should I arrive to watch the show?
We recommend arriving as soon as you can to door time (7:30 p.m.) in order to guarantee a spot. Seating is first come, first serve based on availability, similar to our regular Wednesday open mics. These shows tend to fill up quickly and sell out, so we suggest arriving no later than 8:30 p.m.

When will the competition take place?
Madison’s Funniest Comic Competition will replace the weekly Mic on State Wednesday, April 6 through Wednesday, April 27, with finals taking place the following week on Wednesday, May 4. These shows take place from 9 p.m. until roughly 11:00 p.m.

What’s the difference between Madison’s Funniest Comic Competition and the Mic on State?
Madison’s Funniest Comic Competition differs from the Mic in several ways. Unlike the Mic, where individuals have an even shot at getting up onstage each week, the competition requires the elimination of individuals over the course of each week. These eliminations will be based on both audience votes and decisions made by our panel of judges.
