Josh Johnson, most recently featured on Kevin Hart's “Hart of the City” on Comedy Central, was named
one of Comedy Central's Comics to Watch in 2015 and a ‘New Face’ at the Just For Laughs Comedy
Festival in 2016. Currently a writer for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and with a calendar
filled with festivals and over 70+ college dates this year alone, he is quickly becoming one of the fastest
rising stars of the year. A native of Louisiana and Chicago-bred comic, Josh has performed at festivals
across the country such as Bridgetown, Out of Bounds, New York Comedy Festival, and Riot LA. Josh was
a 2014 NBC Stand Up for Diversity semifinalist, and the 2015 winner of Snubfest in Chicago and the Devil
Cup in New York.
In his one-man show Awkward Hugs With Beautiful Women, Josh weaves tales of his dating
misadventures in a show the Chicago Tribune called both “honest” and “so sitcom-like in its
implausibility that in several instances Johnson covers his own mouth in incredulity.”
Josh is a contributing writer for The Whiskey Journal and Empire News, and a former ensemble member
of Under The Gun Theater in Chicago, where he also cofounded monthly comedy show The Attic. He
currently lives in Brooklyn with his roommate’s dog.
Geoffrey Asmus started comedy in 2013 right after graduating college in order to negate six years of studying Religious Studies and History. In a short time Geoffrey won Comedy on State’s “Madison's Funniest Comedian 2015” and Penguin Comedy Club’s “Funniest Person in Iowa 2015,” beating out the guy who invented meth both times.
Shortly thereafter Geoffrey was selected for the ‘New Faces’ showcase at the 2016 Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal and seen by four people on Fox TV’s ‘Laughs.’ He has also been featured at the Bridgetown, Limestone and Boston comedy festivals and has opened for Brian Posehn, Todd Barry, Daniel Sloss and Andrew Santino among others.
Onstage and offstage Geoffrey will not make eye contact, which is a blessing for all.
Anthony Bonazzo graduated both the Conservatory and Music Improv Conservatory at Second City, performed in the Del Close Marathon, has starred in videos for The Onion, and was recently a Semi Finalist in the NBC Stand Up for Diversity contest. He is a regular at Zanies Comedy Club, The Improv, and Jokes and Notes, and can be seen performing stand-up and improv throughout the Midwest.
